Open World Theatre is a creative arts practice with a martial arts philosophy. As ‘Art Marshals’ we train across EMBODIMENT, CREATIVITY & QUESTING, aspiring to cultivate an ability, (or at least willingness), to ‘be anyone’ and ‘experience anything’.
In essence the sole goal is to open into a state of FULL ALIVENESS!
“Atlas Talisman is a game designer and journeyman who has initiated himself into the art of improvised living by engaging in social experiments which move him beyond the established transactional methods of survival.
He traveled across both Australia and America without the use of money and experimented with game theory and free form adventure in several countries through Europe.
Now based in Auckland, New Zealand he runs the OWCH Adventure Club which explores the urban and social terrain of city living and the Games Without Borders podcast and meet up group which designs trans-media stories and immersive experiences.”
We are at play in the chaos of Life. We make our own rules. We play our own games!
To achieve these aspirations I offer immersive theatre, responsive art and games that cultivate sentience in the players, so that we can all open our senses and take in the wonder of the human experience with curiosity, humour and brave acceptance.
I am an Improvisor and I welcome others into ‘The Moment’. I make playgrounds which function as interfaces for human interaction. I craft tools of navigation which spur the holder into the unknown, as pioneers of self-discovery.
I am here to support you as you respond to your innate call to adventure, so that your legacy may be the signature of your soul!
